Launch of Teenage Dreams and Making Changes Murals

Teenage dreams so hard to beat – The Undertones lyrics are as relevant now as they were back in 1978. So much so that when the iconic Bridge End flyover ‘Teenage Kicks’ mural was removed in 2013 over 7000 people took to social media to protest.  Two years later thanks to an East Belfast Partnership lead project – it Is back.   Reworked and reinstalled by the same artists who painted the original, Blaze FX, but this time with the help from young people from the Short Strand/Newtownards Road (Ballymac) interface.

Launch of EastSide Learning

It was billed as the ‘Start of something great’ and it was, as school principals, local politicians, community groups and government attended the launch of Eastside Learning. The EastSide Learning Partnership unveiled their plans to bring schools and communities together over the next 10 years for the benefit of children and young people in the area.

Connswater Community Greenway Phase 2 Contractor Announced

Today Belfast Lord Mayor, Nichola Mallon announced that Farrans has been awarded the multi-million pound contract for Phase 2 of the Connswater Community Greenway project.

East Side Arts Festival 2014 Launched

Growing, thriving and legacy building - these were just some of the key messages at the launch of East Belfast’s 3rd annual summer festival.

The EastSide Arts Festival, delivered by East Belfast Partnership with support from Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure and Arts Council for Northern Ireland will run 21st – 25th August  across East Belfast locations, and will showcase a varied arts programme with something for everyone across the east of the city and beyond.
